Srithanu Beach is easily one of the most beautiful places to watch the sunset in Koh Phangan. What makes this spot truly special is the sandbank that appears during low tide, creating a natural walkway where people gather to watch the sun slowly disappear into the sea. The atmosphere here is magical. As the sun gets closer to the horizon, the sky turns deep orange and red, reflecting perfectly on the calm water. You’ll see silhouettes of people walking along the sandbank, swimming, sitting on the shore, or simply standing still to take in the view. It feels peaceful, relaxed, and almost cinematic. The water is usually very calm, making it perfect for a late afternoon swim before sunset. The whole area has a laid-back vibe, with travelers and locals quietly enjoying the moment rather than crowds rushing around. If you’re in Koh Phangan, this is absolutely a place you should visit at least once, although chances are you’ll want to come back many times. Sunsets here never get old.
Used to be a great place fir peace and quiet. Now it's a great place to explore middle eastern culture and food. Probably the best humus in Thailand.
